The Design Process

The client typically begins by providing me with a general theme idea for the web site. He/she provides me with either images and/or colors they'd like me to work with and I utilize Adobe Photoshop to create a mockup of the website. Once the client approves the mockup and we finalize all of the changes, I begin designing.

I deplete all of the resources available at my disposal by using only the most cutting-edge techniques and applications available. I make use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Livemotion, and Flash, depending on if the site requires any sort of animation. Typically I try and stray away from creating websites entirely composed of flash files and instead resort to slicing out areas in the design where the animation and interaction would take place. However, one of the many things I've learned over the past 4 years in designing websites is that depending on how much creative freedom the client gives me, no one has the same taste and ultimately the client calls all the shots.

Once the site is complete, I begin the task of testing the website in all major web browsers on both the mac and PC platforms.
